Cancer Walk Receives Donations

    THE VFW BEAN BAG LEAGUE hosted a tournament Saturday, August 24. John and Ashlie Schweitzer, pictured at right, of Milbank donated a handcrafted set of bean bag boards which were raffled off. The raffle raised $200 with all proceeds going to the It Only Takes a Spark cancer walk. Winners of the boards were, left to right, Elliot Brugman and Ashley Wika of Watertown, pictured with the Schweitzers. Brugman and Wika also captured the first place prize of $300 in the tournament. John Schweitzer and Casey Bublitz of Twin Brooks took the second place prize of $200, and Brandon Street of Burke and Ben Schell of Milbank snagged third place for $150.
