The Big Stone City council met in regular session on Monday, June 5, 2023, meeting began at 6:30 p.m. with Mayor Brown presiding. Roll Call: Roscoe, Stoddard, TJ Rabe, Redfield, Hughes and G. Rabe. Motion to accept the minutes from the May 1, 2023 meeting was made by G. Rabe and seconded by Hughes. All in favor. Motion Carried.
Motion to pay the presented claims was made by Redfield and seconded by Roscoe. Upon roll call all in favor. Motion Carried.

Stoddard made a motion to approve the building permit for Harmening with Redfield second.
Stoddard made a motion to approve the building permit for Matt Dombrowski with Roscoe as second. Attorney Stock will start working on the street vacate for this property.
Sheriff report for May: Hours worked within city: 83 hours. Responded to: One welfare check, one traffic complaint, one domestic dispute, 911 hang up, two civil disputes, one juvenile criminal investigation, one death investigation.
A public comment was made to check into a PA system for the meetings.
The city attorney hasn’t had a chance to check into the city owned land further.
Motion made by Rosco and second by Stoddard to put AMI meters out for bid.
Mayor Brown appointed the following committees for 2023-2024.

Electric – Hughes & Stoddard Water - Redfield & G Rae
Sewer – G Rabe & TJ Rabe Liquor – Hughes, Redfield & Roscoe

Police – Hughes
Safety – Redfield
Garbage – Stoddard & G Rabe
A motion was made by Hughes and second by Redfield to approve Eide Bailly for the 2021-2022 audit. All in favor. Motion Carried.
Nancy discussed the large jump in the cost of the government website and hopes to find out more during finance school.
Due to the 4th of July and conflict for everyone the next meeting will be on Monday July 10th at 6:30 p.m.
At 7:10 Stoddard made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Redfield seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried.
Hughes made a motion to go into executive session with G Rabe as seconded. All in Favor. Motion Carried
At 7:35 Stoddard called to come out of executive session, Redfield seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried. No action taken.
Being no further business Stoddard made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:36 p.m. seconded by Redfield All in favor. Motion Carried.
