AND CALL FOR BIDS
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Milbank, Grant County, South Dakota will receive sealed competitive bids for a three-year ground’s maintenance service contract.
1. Water Plant and Reservoir 2. Lake Farley Park & Campground 3. Dog Park Area 4. Jack & Jill Park 5. Pribyl Park 6. Hurley Park 7. Milbank City Cemetery, Baseball Monument & Veterans Park Area
8. Visitors Center & Flynn Park 9. Mill Park 10. Wastewater Plant 11. Pump House Properties (3), Twin Brooks Area 12. Unity Health and Fitness
The period of the bid is to commence April 1, 2022, and end November 1, 2025.
A five percent bid and performance security in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or bank draft is required with each bid. The successful bidder will have this security draft held by the City until satisfactory completion of the contract requirements. The security draft will be returned to unsuccessful bidders.
Each bidder shall visit the mowing sites and shall completely inform himself relative to the conditions of compliance. All conditions shall be thoroughly investigated and considered in the preparation of the bid. There will be no subsequent financial adjustment for lack of prior information. A bid packet is available from the City Office.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022, at the City Offices to address bid specifications, questions, and expectations.
Bids will be received up to the hour of 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the City Offices, 1001 East 4th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252. Bids will be opened at that time. Considerations of the bids will take place at the City Council Meeting, 7:00 PM, Monday, March 14, 2022, at the Visitors Center
The City of Milbank reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularities as deemed to be in the best interest of Milbank, South Dakota.
