CITY OF MILBANK NOTICE AND CALL FOR BIDS UNITY HEALTH AND FITNESS MOTOR CONTROL CENTER • December 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Milbank, Grant County, South Dakota will receive sealed competitive bids for replacement of a 600 amp/480 volt power panel and motor control center at Unity Health & Fitness, 904 E 4th Ave, Milbank, SD.

Work shall consist of replacement of the main 600 amp 480 volt power panel and motor control center. Bid will include all labor, permits, 600 amp main circuit breaker panel, 600amp Motor Control Center with buckets to match current buckets, and disposal of old equipment and inspection fees.

Each bidder shall visit the site and shall completely inform himself relative to the conditions of compliance.  All conditions shall be properly investigated and considered in the preparation of the bid. There will be no subsequent financial adjustment for lack of prior information.

Completion date of this installation shall be by September 2, 2022. Bidders should be aware of black out dates for installation due to activities taking part in the aquatic center.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM on January 7, 2022 at the City Offices, 1001 East 4th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252.  Bids will be opened at that time. Considerations of the bids will take place at the City Council Meeting, 7:00 PM, January 10, 2022 at the City Office.

The successful low bidder as determined by the Milbank City Council, shall submit a Certificate of Insurance to the City Finance Officer assuring that the bidder has provided for, paid for, and maintaining in full force and effect the coverage at not less than that required to cover the bidder’s activities, or those activities of anyone either directly or indirectly employed by the Bidder or subcontractor or by anyone for whose acts they may be liable.

The City of Milbank reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularities as deemed to be in the best interest of Milbank, South Dakota.
