Construction Continues

Motorists using the overpass at the west edge of Milbank have been encountering slight delays as they follow pilot cars over the bridge in one-lane traffic for the past few days. Workers have milled the approach areas to the bridge deck in preparation for the surface receiving a new layer of asphalt. The maintenance is part of a South Dakota Department of Transportation (DOT) project. The DOT is also continuing to work on adding turning lanes on the east edge of Milbank as part of a resurfacing project on US Highway 12 that stretches from Milbank’s Ninth Street to the Minnesota border.
