DISTRICT, A POLITICAL

SUBDIVISION OF THE

STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA

RESOLUTION 2023-01

WHEREAS Grant County Ambulance District, A Political Subdivision of the State of South Dakota, was created by Resolution of the Grant County Board of County Commissioners;

WHEREAS Big Stone City, LaBolt, Milbank, Revillo, Stockholm, Strandburg and Twin Brooks, all municipalities in Grant County, South Dakota, were included within the boundaries of the Grant County Ambulance District;

WHEREAS the Elected Board of Directors on the Grant County Ambulance District, held its organizational meeting on August 30, 2023 with prior notice duly posted; and

WHEREAS the Elected Board of Directors s authorized under SDCL 34-11A-16(8) to levy a tax for purposes of carrying out the duties of the Grant County Ambulance District.

NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that Grant County Ambulance District calls for a tax levy in the total amount of ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($126,500.00) of which the estimated administrative cost will be ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($1,500.00) and the rest of the funds collected will be allocated to Grant-Roberts Ambulance, Inc. in two expenditures the first occurring in June 2024 and the remainder in December 2024 of the collected taxes, to ensure operation of Grant-Roberts Ambulance, Inc. within the boundaries of the Grant County Ambulance District.
