NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ORDINANCE NO. 2023-01

 

ORDINANCE 2023-01, AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED, AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND  ARTICLE II “DEFINITIONS”; ARTICLE V “BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT, APPEALS, VARIANCE, AND CONDITIONAL USES”; ARTICLE VI “DUTIES OF COUNTY ZONING OFFICER, BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT, AND COURTS ON MATTERS OF APPEAL”; ARTICLE VII “FEES”, ARTICLE VIII “ENFORCEMENT”; AND ARTICLE IX “AMENDMENTS”, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 2004-01, AS AMENDED, OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF GRANT COUNTY.

  The Grant County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on August 1, 2023, at 9:15 a.m.  at the Grant County Courthouse located at 210 E 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD. The public hearing is being held to take comments on a proposed amendment to Ordinance 2004-01, as amended.

All interested persons are encouraged to attend the public hearing in person and comment on the proposed Ordinance 2023-01.  After the Board of County Commissioners public hearing, the Board may hold the first reading and schedule a second reading of Ordinance 2023-01.

The proposed Ordinance 2023-01 will be made available for public inspection at the Grant County Auditor’s Office located at 210 E 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD and on-line at http://association.1stdistrict.org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/ pursuant to SDCL Section 11-2 and amendments thereto.

Written comments may be filed by mailing them to the Auditor at 210 E 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252 on or before noon on July 14, 2023.
