Grant County Combined Appeal Business Blitz Set
As organizers of the Grant County Combined Appeal prepare for the annual fundraising campaign, a group of volunteers and youth from the organizations that benefit from the fundraising are poised to begin the annual business blitz.
This year’s fundraising goal has been set at $201,000 to benefit 21 local nonprofit agencies.
The business blitz will be Wednesday, September 17. That day business owners and managers can anticipate the volunteers stopping in between 1 and 3 p.m. to explain what combined appeal is and how their donations help the people in Grant County. Donations can be sent with the ambassadors during the business blitz, or a pledge can be made and followed up on before the end of the campaign.
The business blitz is the official kickoff of the fundraising for next year’s support of the local groups, which are divided into three areas. They are heath and human service, education and youth development.
