Hurley Winter Park

The Hurley Winter park ice rinks opened for the season on Tuesday, December 28, when the temperatures were deemed stable enough to maintain good ice. City employees flooded the rinks a week earlier. Extremely frigid temperatures over the New Year’s holiday weekend prevented some who might have skated from heading out, but the surface required a bit of maintenance on Monday morning. There are bound to be many moderate days ahead, allowing for more outdoor activity.
