INVITATION TO BID

Milbank School District 25-4 invites sealed bids for individual or combined Bid Packages for the Milbank School CTE and Auxiliary Gym Project, in accordance with bidding documents prepared by CO-OP Architecture. Bids will be received for individual or combined Bid Packages. This is a Construction Management At-Risk (CMAR) Project. All contracts will be with Hasslen Construction Company, Inc., (HCC), the CMAR.  

BID DATE/PLACE OF OPENING

Sealed bids are due on or before Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Bids will be received at the Milbank School District Auditorium, 1001 E Park Ave., Milbank, SD  57252. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above address. No faxed or email bids accepted.

BID SECURITY

Each Bid submitted in excess of $50,000 shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bidder’s  Bid price in the form of a certified or bank check issued by either a state or a national bank, or a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid. Such bond is to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota. Bid Bond is a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract with CMAR. Bid Security is to be made out to CMAR, Hasslen Construction Company, Inc.

CONSIDERATION OF BIDS

The bidder acknowledges the right of the owner to reject any or all bids, accept any bid, waive informalities in bids submitted, and waive minor discrepancies in bidding procedures, as deemed to be in the owner’s best interest. The bidder acknowledges that bids will be evaluated based on the Total Project Bid Amount, including accepted alternates. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Construction Manager, the Architect and respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation or recommendation of any bid. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of Thirty (30) calendar days immediately following the date of receipt of bids.
