LaBolt Town Council Proceedings • October 3, 2022

 

 

The LaBolt Town Council met October 3, 2022, at the LaBolt Hall. Present were Jon Wold, Kenny Wold, Larry Erp, John Wollenberg, Danny Berglund, Barb Ellingson and Jan Zuver. 

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

The minutes for the last meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was given and approved.

The following bills were approved for payment from the general fund:

Kranz Well & Excavation $14,526.78; Larry Erp $43.51; Main Street Designs $65.21; Grant County Review $10.99; Bookings Deuel $28.00; NW Energy $10.00; Ottertail Power (Sign) $7.59; Ottertail Power (LaBolt Dam) $47.70; Ottertail Power (fire hall) $36.89; Ottertail Power (street lights)$223.64.

Jon Wold gave the lagoon report; there will not be a need to drain it this fall. John Wollenberg will mow the lagoon area.

Park report was given by John Wollenberg; he is done mowing for the season. Larry mentioned that there are small trees near the dam that should be cut. 

Jon noted that the pipe has been delivered at Peilers, with work to begin on Tuesday. He is still waiting on a response from the attorney regarding the rezoning of the lots.

Kenny mentioned that the park playground equipment will need to be stained, it was agreed that with the cooler weather it would be best to wait until spring.

Barb has the renewal of Emily’s Place liquor license. Will get it to Emily and then return to Jon for his signature and the town seal.

Danny was responding to the letter the city sent about purchasing lots. Jon will contact a realtor to establish a reasonable purchase price.

Larry made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Kenny seconded. 

Next meeting will be Monday November 7, 2022, at 7 p.m.
