Council Proceedings
The LaBolt Town Council met July 6, 2021 at the LaBolt Hall. Present were Jon Wold, Larry Erp, Kenneth Wold, Jan Zuver and John Wollenberg. Barb Ellingson was absent.
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m.
The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was given and approved.
The following bills were approved for payment from the general fund:
Northwestern Energy $10.00; Otter Tail Power $228.15 (Street Lights); Otter Tail Power $6.90 (LaBolt sign); Otter Tail Power $46.94 (Fire Hall); Otter Tail Power $58.61 (campsite); Brookings Rural Water $25.00; Ray Stolpman $209.70; Insurance Plus $4116.00; LaBolt Elevator $224.20.
Jon Wold stated that the ponds were inspected. They were last inspected 3 years ago. He needs to test the water again for nitrogen and ammonia. He needs to take one sample each day for three days.
The park in town has been set up thanks to Larry. Thanks Larry for doing a fine job.
There was discussion on the pine trees on the corner of Mark Wiseman’s property. There have been concerns that the trees are obstructing the view when pulling onto the street from the north.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
Next meeting will be Monday, August 2 at 8 p.m.
