PURSUANT TO DUE CALL AND NOTICE THEREOF, a special meeting of the City Council was duly held at City Hall, October 24, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Pat Raffety. Councilmen Mindy Rogers, Roger Briggs, John Weyh, Craig Weinberg, and Mike Hanson. Absent: Josh Karels. Present from the staff: John Forman, Dan Keyes, Boyd VanVooren, and Cynthia Schumacher.  Public present: none.

Mayor Raffety called the meeting to order and roll call was taken.

A motion was made and seconded to advertise and call for bids for snow removal. Motion carried 5-0.

Chief Boyd VanVooren announced his intention to retire at the end of the year.  Motion was made and seconded to advertise for police chief. Applications will be accepted until November 18, 2022.

Barrett Wickland, owner of Grant-Roberts Ambulance, met with County and City officials regarding funding.  Attorney Schwandt was requested to research the creation of an ambulance district.

The Council reviewed the proposed budget.  No action was taken.

A motion was made and seconded to go into Executive Session.  Motion carried 5-0.  Mayor called the Council out of Executive Session.  No action was taken.  

Adjourn –The next regular meeting will be November 14, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. A motion was made and seconded to adjourn at 7:45. Motion carried 5-0.
