President, Richard Schwandt called the meeting to order at 7 a.m. in the Board Room of the high school building. Schwandt led the Pledge of Allegiance. Members present were Thue, Christensen, Schwandt and Trevett. Seffrood was absent. Superintendent Justin Downes and Business Manager Nancy Meyer were also in attendance.
Motion by Thue and seconded by Christensen to approve the agenda. Motion carried. 4-0
Motion by Trevett and seconded by Thue to enter executive session for negotiations pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2(4) at 7:01 a.m.
Chairman Schwandt declared executive session over at 7:14 a.m. and regular session resumed.
Motion by Christensen and seconded by Trevett to approve the certified staff negotiated agreement for 2026-27. Motion carried. 4-0
Motion by Thue and seconded by Christensen to approve Resolution No.1032026 authorizing Colliers Securities LLC to refinance the outstanding General Obligation Bonds, Series 2026 in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed $12,000,000 if there is a significant savings. Motion carried. 4-0 A copy of the full resolution can be read in the Office of the Business Manager.
Motion by Trevett and seconded by Thue to authorize the issuance of a Food Service Management Company RFP for the 2026-27 school year. Motion carried. 4-0
Motion by Thue and seconded by Christensen to adjourn at 7:18 a.m. Motion carried. 4-0
The next regular School Board meeting is set for Monday, April 13, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Board Room of the High School Building.
