NOTICE AND CALL FOR BIDS
CITY OF MILBANK,
SOUTH DAKOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Milbank, Grant County, South Dakota, will receive sealed competitive bids for the following services:
Schedule 1: Snow pickup and removal from designated sections of Highway 15, Highway 12 and Main Street located within the city limits of Milbank. The highway sections are roads totaling approximately 1.5 miles, Main Street snow removal area encompasses approximately four blocks. Snow will be bladed after snow accumulations of 2” (two inches), or more, or as determined by the City Street Department Manager. Described snow pickup and removal is to be done as soon as city crews have bladed the snow. Removed snow will be hauled and placed at areas as assigned by the City Street Manager.
The bid for Schedule 1 shall be submitted stating the rate per hour of snow pickup, referencing the equipment being used, to include the capacity of each piece of equipment in cubic yards. The rate per hour of snow hauling, also, referencing the equipment being used, to include the capacity of each piece of equipment in cubic yards.  
Schedule 2: Snow pickup and removal from designated municipal parking lots located within the city limits of Milbank. These parking lots will have the snow piled by city crews.  Described snow pickup and removal is to be done on an as needed basis and removed snow will be hauled and placed at areas as assigned and determined by the City Street Department Manager. 
The bid for Schedule 2 shall be submitted stating the rate per hour of snow pickup referencing the equipment being used, to include the capacity of each piece of equipment in cubic yards. The rate per hour of snow hauling, also, referencing the equipment being used, to include the capacity of each piece of equipment in cubic yards. 
The period of bid is to be two (2) years, commencing with the bid award and ending with the bid award in 2022.
Bidders will provide proof of their insurability in the form of a current insurance binder or a letter from their insurance agent. Bidders will also supply an affidavit demonstrating a CDL Drug and Alcohol Program. All elements must be present in the bid package for the bid to be considered.
Bids will be received up to 9:00 AM, September 14, 2020 at the City Offices, 1001 E 4th Ave., Milbank, SD 57252.  Bids will be publicly opened and reviewed at that time.  Consideration of bids will take place at the City Council meeting, 7:00 PM, September 14, 2020, at the Milbank Visitor Center.
The City of Milbank reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities.
