NOTICE OF BID LETTING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: The Board of Grant County Commissioners in and for the County of Grant in the City of Milbank, South Dakota, will receive sealed competitive bid proposals until the hour of 8:15 a.m.on January 2, 2024 at said time and place all bids will be publically opened, read and considered for supplying 3⁄4” crushed gravel at listed gravel pit locations within the county.
Location: NE 1/4 SE 1/4 in Section 5. T119N, Range 49W with tonnage and acres impacted to be determined. (Christian’s Pit)
Location: SE 1/4 in Section 10, T120N, R52W. Approximately five new acres to be mined. The bid is to include the removal of the topsoil and mining a minimum of 70,000 tons. (Moorehouse Pit)
Location: NE 1/4 in Section 8, T120N, R51W for up to 100,000 tons of crushed gravel. (County Pit)
No deposit or bid bond will be required at time of the bid opening.
Grant County will give notice to the successful bidder that the proposal has been accepted and said bidder shall within 10 days thereafter enter into a contract with Grant County.
Envelopes containing the bids shall be addressed and delivered to the Grant County Auditor, 210 E 5th Ave., Milbank, SD 57252 and be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope: “Crushed Gravel Bid”.
The Grant County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid(s) they deem to be in the best interest of the Grant County.
