NOTICE OF BID LETTING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: The Board of Grant County Commissioners in and for the County of Grant in the City of Milbank, South Dakota, will receive sealed competitive bid proposals for the following items listed to be used by Grant County during the year April 2, 2024 through March 31, 2025.

1. Precast concrete pipes, concrete box culverts and double tee concrete bridge deck units. All sizes and lengths.

2. Pea gravel for chip sealing. Price per ton.

3. Class 5 Gravel. Price per ton.

4. Unclassified 3/4 minus gravel. Price per ton.

5. Sand for winter salt/sand mix. Price per ton.

6. Pea Gravel for chip sealing.

7. 11 miles +/- Paver Laid Asphalt, 1.5 in level course and 1 in wear course.

8. Asphalt Patching 100ft to 1000ft. Price per ton.

9. Asphalt Patching, extra dig out areas and less than 100ft. Price per ton.

10. Asphalt FOB. Price per ton.

11. Chip sealing 5-10 miles+/- (county supplied chips)

12. Fog sealing.

13. Crane work, pile driving

Each bidder will submit their bid on their own prescribed form and placed in an envelope to be sealed. Please write on the envelope which item is being bid on.

A bid bond or certified check will be waived as provided by SDCL 5-18-6.1. Preference will be given to materials, products and supplies found within the State of South Dakota.

A current certificate of insurance must be included, supplied and remain on record with the Grant County Auditor upon acceptance of labor related bids.

Bids will be received up until 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Grant County Auditor’s Office at 210 E 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD. No bid proposals will be accepted after the specified date and hour. The bids will be publicly opened at that time. Consideration of bids will take place at the County Commissioner meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

The Grant County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals and to waive any or all irregularities.
