NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

ON A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of Adjustment on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Grant County Courthouse Community Room (basement) to consider in full or in part the following variance request by Sunrise Hutterian Brethren on the following legally described property: NW 1/4 in Former Sisseton Wahpeton Indian Reservation Section 13-120-52 of the 5th P.M., (Lura Township) Grant County, South Dakota:

• Conditional Use Permit Application, CUP07102023, Pursuant to Section 1101.03.02: Conditional Uses in the “A” Agricultural Zoning District #2 – Church or Cemetery. The applicant, Sunrise Hutterian Brethren is requesting conditional use permit for a private cemetery.

The application and other associated written materials are available for public review at the Grant County Courthouse and at http://association.1stdistrict.org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/. Written comments may be filed by emailing the County Zoning Officer at steve.berkner@grantcountysd.us or by mailing them to the Zoning Officer at 210 East 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252 on or before noon on August 11, 2023. No materials will be placed on the website after 5 p.m. on August 11, 2023.
