NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

ON A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Grant County Courthouse Community Room (basement) to consider in full or in part the following Conditional Use Permit (CUP) request by John Koopmans, DBA Whetstone Land Company, LLC, on the following legally described property: W1/2NE1/4 & E1/2NW1/4 INCL LOT 1 CHALET SUBDIVISION IN N1/2, Section 33-120-48 of the 5th P.M., (Alban West Township) Grant County, South Dakota:

· Conditional Use Permit Application, CUP08232023, to amend Conditional Use Permit CAFO07252011; pursuant to Section 1218.01 through 1218.09: Accessory Agricultural Housing is a permitted accessory use to a Class A Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs)….”with approval by the Board of Adjustment.” The applicant, Koopmans, is requesting to amend a CAFO conditional use permit to allow worker housing.

Written comments may be filed by emailing the County Zoning Officer at steve.berkner@grantcountysd.us or by mailing them to the Zoning Officer at 210 East 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252 on or before noon on October 6, 2023. No materials will be placed on the website after 5 p.m. on October 6, 2023.
