NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE DRAINAGE BOARD ON A PROPOSED DRAINAGE PERMIT
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, at 8 a.m. at the Grant Courthouse, 210 East 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD, to consider the following Drainage Permits for Tim Stengel, 47702 147th St., Milbank, SD, 57252. The requests, if granted, would control erosion.
Permits DR2026-04a, DR2026-04b, DR2026-04c and DR2026-04d for land located within the N1/2 and SW1/4 of Section 35, Township 121, Range 48, West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Grant County, South Dakota. (Melrose Township).
The properties seeking the drainage permits are located within the Whetstone River Watershed.
During Drainage Board consideration certain restrictions and/or changes to the original drainage permit applications may be considered or conditioned. Approved Drainage Permits are good for two years and work is required to be completed within that time.
All persons interested therein may appear and be heard before the Drainage Board at said hearing or may file written comments with the Planning & Zoning Officer, acting as Drainage Administrator, by 3 p.m., Friday, April 3rd, at 210 E. 5th Ave., Milbank, SD 57252 prior to said hearing.
