ORDINANCE 841

An Ordinance Establishing a Schedule for Introduction and Adoption of the Annual Municipal Budget Ordinance of the City of Milbank, South Dakota 

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Milbank, South Dakota, as follows: 

I.

Introduction and Adoption of Annual Municipal Budget Ordinance.

A. Pursuant to SDCL 9-21-34, the annual municipal budget ordinance shall be submitted to the City Council for first reading not later than the first regular meeting in November. 

B. The second reading of the annual municipal budget ordinance shall be held at least five days after the first reading. 

C. The annual municipal budget ordinance shall be published prior to December 31st following adoption. 

D. A public hearing will be held to establish the requested levies not later than the first regular meeting in September. The finance officer shall certify the tax levies to the county auditor no later than October first.   

II.

Any and all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
