Public Invited to District 4 State Candidate Forum
The Deuel County Republicans organization will host an open legislative candidate forum Saturday, May 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Goodwin Area Hall, in Goodwin. The event is free and all are welcome.
The organizers of the forum have invited all District 4 candidates for the South Dakota Legislature, including one Democrat, one Independent, and five Republicans.
Brock Greenfield, Commissioner of School and Public Lands and a past legislator from Clark will be the moderator. Candidates will be given some questions in advance. Attendees will have an opportunity to write down questions, which will be given to the moderator to ask the candidates.
Candidates who have confirmed their attendance are Tim Begalka, Clear Lake, and Stephanie Sauder, Bryant, for the single Senate seat representing District 4. Also confirmed are the following candidates for two seats in the House of Representatives: Fred Deutsch, Florence; Emelia Enquist, Revillo; Sam Froehlke, Toronto; Dylan Jordan, Clear Lake; Ryan Kohl, Milbank, and Kent Roe, Hayti.
There will be a drawing for a door prize at the conclusion of the event. Water and soda will be available.
