A hearing will be held by the Roberts County Planning and Zoning Commission in the Commissioners’ Room at the Roberts County Courthouse at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
To consider a request for a VARIANCE from the zoning ordinance.
The request is made by Larry Anderson.
For the purpose of: Mr. Anderson wishes to build a “shouse” structure that will be split between garage and residential spaces. The proposed structure is 90x56ft, of which the attached garage portion will be 60x56ft. On Lake District back lots, garages are limited in size to 40x60ft. The previous zoning administrator advised Mr. Anderson that he would be able to build a structure of this size and composition; Mr. Anderson has already poured the foundation, installed a septic tank, and purchased the building materials. The proposed building otherwise conforms to setback and height restrictions.
