Review Board Minutes of City of Wilmot March 16, 2026
The Common Council of the City of Wilmot met as the Local Board of Equalization at the City Office at 725 Main St., on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 6 p.m. for the purpose of equalizing the assessment of property. Members present; Aldermen Roger Butler, Lindsey Dorosh, Jack Hansen, Clayton Winge, Wilmot School District representative David Anderson, with Mayor Zachery Zempel presiding, and City Finance Officer Diana Halseide serving as Clerk. Absent: Michael Hook.
Mayor Zempel called the Board of Equalization to order at 6 p.m. Butler Motioned to approve the Agenda as read. Hansen seconded. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
Hansen Motioned to approve the 2026 Assessment Rolls as written and read. Dorosh seconded. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
Mayor Zempel recognized and read a letter submitted by property owner Cathy Klebofski and read her appeal to the $22,634 assessed land and building value of property record #11900. Butler Motioned to deny the appeal and retain the assessor’s value of $22,634. Hansen seconded. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
Mayor Zempel recognized and read a letter submitted by property owner Michael Pedersen of Wilmot Holdings, LLC and read his appeal to the $23,892 assessed land value of property record #1647. Butler Motioned for a change from the Assessors value of $23,892 to $16,000. Hansen seconded. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
At 8:03 p.m., there being no further business or appeals before the board, Hansen Motioned to adjourn the meeting. Winge seconded. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
