St. Lawrence Staff Prepares
for In-Person Registration

The staff members of St. Lawrence Catholic School in Milbank are preparing to conduct in-person registration for the 2020-21 school term. The registration will be on Thursday, August 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Families whose last names start with A-G are asked to register between 8 and 10 a.m. Those with H-M should arrive between 10 a.m. and noon. The noon to 2 p.m. time slot is for families with last names starting with N-S. The final time, 2 to 4 p.m., is for T-Z.
Brenda Anderson, principal, notes that families who cannot attend during the assigned time should arrive between 4 and 5 p.m.
All students should stop at the registration table to pick up their assigned time for attending the school’s open house on Monday and Tuesday, August 17 and 18.
Parents are encouraged to refer to the website, stlawrence.k12.sd.us, for important registration information. Some will need to fill out registration forms, and others may be able to update forms from previous years.
All students in preschool through sixth grade must have their pictures taken at St. Lawrence. Pictures not taken at St. Lawrence cannot be intermingled nor guaranteed to be transferred to the class composite of St. Lawrence School.
Lunch tickets and student planners may be purchased during registration. The shirts are available directly from Street Graphex. Supply lists are posted on the school website.
Parents are invited to read the parent/student handbook. According to Anderson, the guide contains important information and policies that both students and parents should become familiar with, such as student dress code, conduct and discipline, internet and computer usage and much more.
“St. Lawrence School is a wonderful opportunity to give your child a Catholic faith-based education,” Anderson noted. “If you are interested in seeing what our school has to offer, please call, stop in, or email us.  We would love to share with you the amazing things we have to offer.”
Families with questions should call 432-5673 or stop in for more information.
