SALE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY

BUS GARAGE

Pursuant to the provisions of SDCL 6-13-4, notice is hereby given that the School Board of Summit School District 54-6, has declared the bus garage (approximately 80 sheets of corrugated steel sheet metal of varying lengths, two lifemaster Elite Series Logic 4.0 garage door openers{4 hp}, one outdoor light fixture, three antique indoor light fixtures, five indoor light fixtures, one propane wall heater {unsure of working condition} one double size storage locker, one small locker, 2-11’9 X 20 garage doors with hardware, 1-11’9 X 20 garage door with opener) as surplus property at the regular September 13 school board meeting, no longer necessary, useful, or suitable for the purpose it was acquired and has ordered the same sold by sealed bid.

Sealed bids for the Bus Garage will be accepted until 4 p.m. CDT Friday, October 13, 2023, at which time said bids will be publicly opened, read aloud, and tabulated by the Business Manager & Superintendent in the school library. Bids will be presented to the school board at either the next succeeding special or regular meeting of the Board, all in accordance with Board policy. Please mark bid envelope “Sealed Bid for Bus Barn” and place mailed bids in an additional envelope.

The School Board shall sell such property to the highest bidder. Furthermore, it is the winning bidder’s responsibility to remove said items that are located at 400 W Sherman Ave, Summit, SD 57266 within a suitable time frame arranged through School Administration.

The above-described surplus property is being sold “as is-where is” with no warranty implied or expressed by the Summit School District 54-6. The Summit School District 54-6 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities of any bid. The Summit School District 54-6 also reserves the right to award the bid to the highest responsible bidder as may be determined by the School Board.
