THE PINK SUPER MOON was captured by photographer Yvette Johnson of Revillo on Tuesday, April 7. The full moon of April is called the Pink Moon, and it was at perigee, meaning it was at its closest point to earth in its elliptical orbit. The moon appears larger and brighter than usual when at perigee, thus the name super moon.
