December 13, 2021

Meeting called to order at 5:30 P.M.

Board Members Present: Travis, Nicole, Rodney.

Others Present: Tom Wagner.

Minutes of November meeting read; no corrections or additions. Motion to accept November minutes by Nicole, 2nd by Rodney. 

Old Business: 

Chuck discussed concerns of water loss within the town at March meeting – no updates at this time. 

Discussion on town ordinances continued; Board Members and April will continue researching. 

Discussion on Sales Tax continued. Motion made to adopt 1% municipal general sales and use tax and 1% municipal gross receipts tax effective July 2022 – First reading of the Municipal Tax, One Rate ordinance (21-01) read. First reading of Special Bed, Board, Booze, and Ticket Sales Tax (21-02) read.

Discussion regarding obtaining a City Attorney; research to continue for next meeting.

Some maintenance needed to pump house; someone planning to complete the work.

Suggestion made for a payment box to be placed in town; Board will consider the options.

No other old business.

New Business: 

COVID money is available to Town; Board is interested in pursuing depending on use. April will pursue.

Suggestion made for Christmas lights to be renovated and hung next year at Christmas time. 

Discussion on rusty water concerns. April will check with Chuck regarding a flush or having Berkners flush. 

First reading of the Property Maintenance Violations Ordinance (21-03) read. Passed by unanimous vote by Board.

No other new business.

Bills: Ottertail: TBD; Grant Co Review: TBD; Chuck: $92.35; April: $323.22  - Motion to pay bills by Nicole, with 2nd by Rodney.

Motion to adjourn by Nicole, with 2nd by Rodney.
