Board Proceedings

The Town Board of Stockholm held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 7 p.m. with Board members Lorraine Collins, Mark Anderson and Tim Nowick present.

The minutes from the last meeting were read with a motion by Nowick seconded by Anderson to accept the minutes as read.

Motion by Nowick seconded by Anderson to pay the following bills

General Account: CNA Surety, $262.50 for finance officer bond; DANR, $50.00 dues; Jodi Nowick, $230.87; Whetstone Electric, $13.55; Ottertail, $465.09; Grant County Review, $9.99; Post office, $66.00; Gene Kiefer, $65.00 tax preparation; US Treasury, $459.00.

Sewer Account Ottertail: $66.14.

Grant County Review was designated as the newspaper for all publications concerning the Town of Stockholm for 2024.

A motion was made by Nowick seconded by Anderson to keep all wages the same for 2024, board members receive $75.00 a month, finance officer $250.00 a month, hourly rate of $20.00 an hour for all other town work.

Motion by Anderson seconded by Nowick to keep sewer rates the same at $30.00 a month. Rent for the community center stays at $75.00 a day.

A motion was made by Anderson seconded by Nowick to keep First Bank and Trust as the bank used for all of Stockholm’s banking services.

The next meeting will be Monday February 5, 2024 at 7 p.m.

With nothing further a motion to adjourn was made by Nowick seconded by Anderson.
