Town of Stockholm Board Proceedings
The Town Board of Stockholm held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, September 7, 2026, at 7 p.m. with board members, Lorraine Collins, Mark Anderson, and Tim Nowick present.
The minutes from the last meeting were read with a motion by Nowick and seconded by Anderson to accept the minutes as read.
Motion by Nowick seconded by Anderson to pay the following bills:
General Account: Whetstone Electric, $13.55; ITC, $40.44; Jodi Nowick, $230.87; Tim Nowick, $225.00; Lorraine Collins, $225.00; Otter Tail, $450.23; Grant County Review, $16.15.
Sewer Account: Otter Tail, $42.66.
Serveral members of the Stockholm Fire Department were present to discuss other options for housing the towns tractor during winter months instead of being put in the fire hall. They have concerns about the amount of space the tractor takes up. A few options were discussed but nothing definitive was decided.
Due to rising costs for maintenance and repairs on the sewer systems a motion was made by Anderson, seconded by Nowick, to increase the sewer rates from $30 a month to $35 effective January 1, 2027.
A motion was made by Anderson and seconded by Nowick to hire Chris Waldner for snow removal for the upcoming winter season.
The next meeting will be Monday, October 5, 2026, at 7 p.m.
A motion to adjourn was made by Nowick and seconded by Anderson.
