The Wilmot City Council meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Wilmot City Office in regular session with Mayor Zachery Zempel presiding. Council members present: Roger Butler, Jack Hansen, Michael Hook, and Clayton Winge. Absent: Lindsey Dorosh. Others in attendance were Finance Officer Diana Halseide.
No conflict-of-interest items on the agenda for anyone on Council were declared.
Hansen Motioned to approve the Agenda as read. Butler seconded. Aye: Butler, Hansen, Winge. Nay: Hook. Motion carried.
New Business:
Butler Motioned to pay Alex Bohn $250.00 to clean the Community Center areas where there has been mice activity. Votes of Aye: Butler, Hansen, Winge. Nay: Hook. Motion carried.
The following request was made by Alderman Hook to have his statement included in the meeting minutes: “Alderman Hook opposes the special meeting that could have been held on Monday costing the City close to $500 and somebody is going to clean the facility for $250 so this meeting is going to cost us close to $700 now to have the facility cleaned. We have a superintendent of the town. He can do what we ask him to do. His job skills are not limited to just whatever. It is also whatever we want him to do. I want this stated out there for the public.”
The next Regular Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Wilmot City Office located at 725 Main Street.
The City of Wilmot Equalization Meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Wilmot City Office located at 725 Main Street.
At 6:12 p.m., Butler Motioned to adjourn. Hansen seconded. All voted Aye, Motion carried.
