City of Big Stone City Council Proceedings

May 12, 2020

5:00 p.m.

The Big Stone City council met in special session on Monday, May 12, 2020 meeting began at 5:00 p.m. with Mayor Wiik presiding.  Roll Call: Athey, Redfield and Brown present with Stecker arriving late. Absent: Roscoe. Others Present: William Coester, Bob Goergen, Emily Sigler, Melissa Sherod, Jayne Stecker, Zach Wiese, Julie Enstad, Doug Enstad, Tyrone Ronke, Earl Lundin, Molly Lundin, John McFarlane and Teresa Goergen. 

The Pledge of Allegiance and the South Dakota State Pledge were recited.  

A discussion was held on the Liquor Store and different ways to operate business safely for everyone with a max number of people allowed to be in the liquor store at one time. Different options were discussed with input from the council, public and liquor store employees. A motion was made by Brown and seconded by Redfield to allow the max number of people in the liquor store to be 35 and have a second person working during the busy times on Friday and Saturday evenings to help count customers and sanitize. All in favor. Motion carried. 

Being no further business a motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Stecker and seconded by Athey.  Motion carried.
