Santa to Set Up Workshop at Van Hout Home

Santa to Set Up Workshop at Van Hout Home
The inner workings of Santa’s Workshop will be on display at the Wayne and Nancy Van Hout home in rural Milbank on Tuesday, December 22, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The home is located at 15099 482nd ave.
The East Central Court-Appointed Special Advocates (EC-CASA) is sponsoring the event which is open to the public.
All area residents are invited to view the behind-the-scenes work of Santa and Mrs. Claus and their many elves who will be portrayed by foster families and friends of foster care.
Volunteers will be busy wrapping and making toys behind a light rope to encourage social distancing. If the temperatures are cold, the volunteers will go about their tasks inside a shed with windows available through which visitors can watch the process. Attendees can drive by the brightly decorated home or walk through the displays.
The EC-CASA advocates for abused and neglected children to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system.
