All State Band

MILBANK HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, Hope Karels, center, and William Karels, right, attended the 71st annual high school All-State Band grand concert at the Mitchell Performing Arts Center March 26-27. They were accompanied by Susan Karels, left, Milbank High School band director. William, a junior tuba player, participated in the Wallace Band with Dr. Jacob Wallace of South Dakota State University, Brookings, as conductor. Hope, a freshman bass clarinet player, participated in the LaCognata Band with Dr. John LaCognata of University of South Dakota, Vermillion, as the conductor.
