to All Youth
An orientation meeting for the upcoming 4-H dog project is scheduled for Tuesday, May 11, at 6 p.m. at the Grant County 4-H grounds. Regular practices will be conducted weekly on Tuesdays to learn obedience, rally, agility and showmanship.
The 4-H dog project is an opportunity for youth to learn everything from basic care for a dog to advanced training practices. Leaders of the project are Mary Bohn, Susan Busk, Paula Rausch and Michaela Palmer.
“What makes the 4-H dog project unique is youth ages five to 18 can be involved and do not need to be bona fide 4-H member,” said Sara Koepke, SDSU Extension 4-H youth program advisor. “This special-interest project area allows youth to gain positive youth development experiences specifically to dog.”
