Residents Reminded:
Garbage Cans Don’t
Go in the Street
Operators of the city snowplows have encountered issues with the large green garbage cans being in the streets when the crews are doing snow removal. City officials remind residents that the Waste Management guidelines specify that on pickup days, the containers must be set at the end of the residents’ driveways, but inside the driveway rather than in the street.
“If everyone can place their garbage cans in the ends of their driveways, it will facilitate more efficient street cleaning,” commented John Forman, city administrator. “That will make life better for everyone involved.”
