Strandburg Town Board Proceedings • March 6, 2022

 

The Strandburg Town Board met Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at Ruffee’s.

Board members present: Todd Rufer, Steve Brehmer and Finance Officer Tammy Rufer.

The minutes from the last meeting were read and upon motion were accepted. The following bills were presented and approved for payment –

Bills:

OtterTail - $198.40

OtterTail - $168.64

2594 – Isaac Larson – pull out tractor - $50.00

2595 – Review – publishing - $11.99

2596 – Wildung – fix tractor - $1,563.41

2597 – SDATAT – dues - $165.75

2598 – ITC – library internet - $550.56

Old Business:

The second reading was held on Ordinance 2022-1. Todd Rufer moved to approve the second reading of Ordinance 2022-1 and because it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety to have the ordinance effective immediately without the twenty one day waiting period after publication. Seconded by board member Steve Brehmer.

The third reading was held on Ordinance 2022-1. Steve Brehmer moved to approve the third reading of Ordinance 2022-1 and because it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety to have the ordinance effective immediately without the twenty one day waiting period after publication. Seconded by board member Todd Rufer.

Since the Ordinance was approved, I will send it to every household in Strandburg.

New Business:

The yearly budget and books were reviewed and accepted.

There is a possible leak in the sewer pond. We were told there might be a puddle from the pond, but it could also be melting snow. Todd Rufer walked around the pond and didn’t see anything. He will keep an eye on it.

We will need someone to mow the town this summer, we have had a couple kids interested, we will talk to them.

As there was no further business to discuss a motion made by D. Rufer to adjourn. Second by T. Rufer. Motion passed unanimously. Meeting Adjourned.
