NOTICE OF GRANT COUNTY

PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HEARINGS ON ORDINANCE

NUMBER 2022-01C,

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND

ARTICLE III “ESTABLISHMENT OF DISTRICTS”, ADOPTED BY

ORDINANCE 2004-01, AS AMENDED, OF THE ZONING

ORDINANCE OF GRANT COUNTY.

  The Grant County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on December 5, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the Grant County Courthouse located at 210 E 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD. 

The Grant County Board of County Commissioners will hold a joint public hearing on December 6, 2022  at 10:00 a.m. at the Grant County Courthouse located at 210 E 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD. 

The public hearings are being held to take comments on a proposed amendment Ordinance 2022-01C, an ordinance amending the Grant County Official Zoning Map. The Ordinance would amend to classify the following property: LOT 1 OF BIT INTELLIGENCE, LLC ADDN IN S1/2SW1/4 t in Section 13, Township 121, Range 47 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Grant County, South Dakota. (Big Stone Township) to Commercial / Industrial from Agriculture.

All interested persons are encouraged to attend the public hearing in person and comment on the 2022-01C.  After the public hearing, the Planning Commission will submit their recommendation, with or without amendment,  to the Board of County Commissioners public hearing.  Board of County Commissioners will then have the first reading of Ordinance 2022-01C  and set a second reading date.

  The amendment to Ordinance 2022-01C  will be made available for public inspection at the Grant County Auditor’s Office located at 210 E 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD and on-line at http://association.1stdistrict.org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/ pursuant to SDCL Section 11-2 and amendments thereto.

Written comments may be filed by mailing them to the Auditor at 210 E 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252 on or before noon on December 2, 2022.
