Call to Order - The City Council met in special session at 12 p.m. on January 26, 2024, in the Milbank Visitor Center, 1001 East 4th Avenue. Mayor Raffety presiding. 

Roll Call – Mayor Raffety. Councilmembers: Mike Hanson, Mindy Rogers, John Weyh and Craig Weinberg. Absent: Josh Karels, Roger Briggs.

Present from the staff: Mark Reedstrom, Steve Pendergrass and Cynthia Schumacher.

Public Present: none.

Executive Session – A motion was made and seconded to go into Executive Session pursuant to SDCL 

1-25-2(1), Personnel. Motion carried 4-0. Mayor called the Council out of Executive Session at 12:22 p.m. 

A motion was made and seconded to place the Parks & Recreation Director on unpaid leave effective today and end the employment relationship. Motion carried 4-0.

Adjourn –The next regular meeting will be February 12, 2024. Motion was made and seconded to adjourn. Motion carried 4-0.
