Public Invited to Puzzle Challenge at County Library
Area residents are invited to join the fun of competing in the fall puzzle palooza at the Grant County Public Library. The event will be Wednesday, October 29, at 1 p.m.
The library staff will host a friendly Puzzles and Pumpkin Pie-themed competition. Teams of up to four people face off to see who can complete a 500-piece puzzle the fastest, while enjoying delicious pie. A prize will be awarded to the winning team.
Those who are up to the challenge should stop in the library or call 605-432-6543 to register.
The staff at the library notes that with cooler weather, comes more indoor activities. Puzzles have proven to be a popular indoor pastime – and a great brain exercise. They report that working on jigsaw puzzles can help improve memory and mood, as well as reduce anxiety and stress. The library also carries a large assortment of puzzles to check out for anyone wishing to hone their puzzle skills or just to enjoy the popular activity.
