A hearing will be held by the Roberts County Planning and Zoning Commission in the Commissioners’ Room at the Roberts County Courthouse at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
To consider a request for a VARIANCE from the zoning ordinance.
The request is made by Debra Boraas.
For the purpose of: Ms. Boraas wishes to build a 36 x 42 ft. cabin on her lake lot. Due to the lot’s shape and size, the proposed structure cannot abide by the front or rear minimum setback requirements of 50 ft. to the lake and 30 ft. to the road. The lot is a nonconforming lot of record with building rights. Ms. Boraas wishes to place the cabin far from the lake shore and utilities, resulting in a 45 ft. rear yard setback to the lake and a 15 ft. front yard setback to Togo Point Road. The proposed structure meets the side yard minimum setbacks.
