NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT ON A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIANCE
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at or after 4 p.m. in the Grant County Courthouse (basement) to consider in full or in part the following Conditional Use Permit and Variance applications from Eric and Nathan Hansen on property described as: Heuers Add IN NE1/4 Section 29 Township 120 Range 50 (Twin Brooks Township).
· Conditional Use Permit CUP-06062026, Pursuant to Section 1101.03.19: Conditional Uses in the “A” Agricultural Zoning District #19 – Caretaker residences associated with public or private enterprise. The owner/applicant, Eric Hansen/ Nathan Hansen are requesting a conditional use permit to move a manufactured home onto a lot containing an existing single-family dwelling.
· Variance VAR06062026, Pursuant to Section 251.2: Manufactured Homes. The owner/applicant, Eric Hansen/ Nathan Hansen are requesting a variance from the maximum age of a manufactured home.
All persons interested therein may appear and be heard before the Board of Adjustment at said hearing. The applications and other associated written materials are available for public review at the Grant County Courthouse and at http://association.1stdis trict.org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/. Written comments may be filed by emailing the County Zoning Officer at steve.berkner@grantcountysd.us or by mailing them to the Zoning Officer at 210 East 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252 on or before noon on July 17, 2026. No materials will be placed on the website after 5 p.m. on July 17, 2026.
