BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT ON TWO CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT REQUESTS
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at or after 4 p.m. in the Grant County Courthouse (basement) to consider in full or in part the following Conditional Use Permit requests from Flowing Well Wind, LLC., on properties described as SW1/4 Section 26 Township 119 Range 48 (Vernon Township), and SW 1/4 Section 28 Township 118 Range 49 (Georgia Township).
• CUP09232026, Pursuant to Section 1101.03.15: Conditional Uses in the “A” Agricultural Zoning District #15 – “Wireless Telecommunication Towers and Facilities” - the applicant, Flowing Well Wind, LLC. is requesting to install a temporary meteorological tower for the purpose of measuring wind speed and direction.
• CUP09102026, Pursuant to Section 1101.03.15: Conditional Uses in the “A” Agricultural Zoning District #15 – “Wireless Telecommunication Towers and Facilities” - the applicant, Flowing Well Wind, LLC. is requesting to install a temporary meteorological tower for the purpose of measuring wind speed and direction.
All persons interested therein may appear and be heard before the Board of Adjustment at said hearing. The application and other associated written materials are available for public review at the Grant County Courthouse and at http://association.1stdistrict. org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/. Written comments may be filed by emailing the County Zoning Officer at steve.berkner@grantcountysd.us or by mailing them to the Zoning Officer at 210 East 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252 on or before noon on Friday, October 9, 2026. No materials will be placed on the website after 5 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026.
