Area Candidates Respond to Political Questionnaires

In an effort to assure the voting public has the opportunity to hear from the candidates for several local races, the Grant County Review editorial staff invited them to submit responses to political questionnaires. The responses from the candidates who will be on the Republican Primary Ballot in Grant County are published in this issue. These include candidates for District 4 House of Representatives, Kent Roe, Dylan Jordan, Fred Deutsch, Gary Hudiburg III, and Ryan Kohl; District 4 Senate, Stephanie Sauder and Tim Begalka, and Grant County sheriff, Jeremy Steffensen and William “Bill” Newstrand.

The Republican candidates for District 1 House of Representatives were also invited to participate because that district includes parts of Roberts County that the Grant County Review serves. They are Nick Fosness, Logan Manhart, Daniel Kjos, and Keith Miller.

The residents of the Town of Corona and those in the Wilmot School District will conduct elections for seats on their governing board. Candidates in Corona are Jerry Settje, Joanne Settje, and Kathy Jurgens. Candidates for the Wilmot School Board are Kadie TeKrony, Emily Hennagir, and Tyler Wynia. Those candidates’ questionnaire responses are also inside this issue.

Some candidates chose not to respond.
