Milbank's Main Street Reconstruction

    The first lift of asphalt was applied to the block of Main Street between the courthouse and US Highway 12 on Friday, August 9. The block has been under construction since spring, and area residents are happy to be able to utilize not only this patch of Main Street, but also the portion of Fifth Avenue that was closed. John Forman, city administrator, reported in the Milbank City Council meeting Monday that progress on the block of the Main Street between Railway Avenue and Second Avenue is progressing well, and he is optimistic that crews may begin working in the 200 block sometime next week.
