According to an announcement from the City of Milbank, chip sealing was scheduled to begin on several municipal streets on Thursday, August 27.
Motorists in the areas affected will notice many tiny rocks, big equipment, and traffic moving at a speed that may test their patience.
The announcement included advice to slow down and give crews plenty of room to work.
Street slated for work included Morningside Drive from Berens Market to Runnings; Mary Street from Milbank Avenue to Virgil Avenue; Flynn Parkway from Virgil Avenue to Fourth Avenue; Third Avenue from Viola Street to Ninth Street; Fifth Avenue, Summit Avenue, and Park Avenue from Seventh Street to Ninth Street; Seventh Street and Viola Street from Fourth Avenue to 12th Avenue; Eighth Avenue from Seventh Street to Viola Street; 10th Avenue from Seventh Street to Jefferson Drive, and 11th Avenue from Seventh to Adams Drive.
The work should be completed by the end of this week.
