The American Legion Birch-Miller Post 9 of Milbank was honored with the Team 100 Post Excellence Award Tuesday, October 15, in Milbank. The award was presented by Matt Lagerstrom, District 5 commander.
During the regular monthly meeting of the Milbank City Council Monday, October 14, councilman Scott Hoeke, presented an overview of the proposed $7 million Birthplace of American Legion Baseball stadium to be built in the southeast part of Lake Farley Park in Milbank.
The Legion Act, signed into law July 30, 2019, expands eligibility in The American Legion to include veterans who served in U.S. military conflicts previously unrecognized by Congress as war eras.
