The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit issued an opinion in support of the City of Milbank’s stance in a wrongful termination lawsuit filed by former Milbank police officer, David Mogard, in 2017.
Numerous vehicles that were parked with the doors left unlocked have been rummaged through and items taken from them in recent weeks. “Please do not leave money, guns or other valuables in your vehicles,” Boyd VanVooren, Milbank police chief, advises.
