Recently released ACT test scores indicate that Milbank High School’s composite score has rebounded to above the state average. The 2019 graduating seniors earned a composite score of 22.7 which is above the state average of 21.6. This ranked Milbank 20th among the state’s schools.

An interim committee of the South Dakota Legislature has developed a framework for a compromise which has the potential to bring long-needed improvements to electric service territory disputes. The compromise is being applauded by South Dakota’s electric cooperatives.
The Grant County Library in Milbank will participate in the Prairie Bud, Prairie Bloom and Prairie Pasque Children’s Book Awards sponsored by the South Dakota Library Association. Students read and vote on the nominated books from the book lists.
