Free Food Giveaway Set

    The final food giveaway of the year by the Grant County Christian Service Council will be Wednesday, October 9, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. or until the food is gone at the Grant County 4-H exhibit building in Milbank.
    The council will again be partnering with Feeding South Dakota to provide free food to families in the Milbank area in need.
    No parking is allowed in the fairgrounds, but parking is available in the Flynn Trail parking lot or in the American Lutheran parking lot.  After attendees have received their food, a drive-up will be available at the north door of the exhibit building for participants’ convenience.
    Boxes will be provided, but individuals can bring their own recyclable grocery bags. Recipients are also asked to be sure to have room for the boxes of food in their vehicle.      “We appreciate the fact that recipients are carpooling to the event, but in the past, we have experienced problems getting all of the food into the cars because their wasn't enough room, so please be prepared for this,” said organizers of the giveaway.
    Doors will not open until after the Feeding SD truck has been unloaded at approximately 4 p.m., and there is no smoking permitted on the property.
